As part of /SFC’s commitment to promoting wellness in the workplace and at home, we are pleased to bring back our popular quarterly Wellness Seminar Series. Join us for one of our upcoming events:

February 28: The Power of Positive

1:30-2:30 p.m. at the /SFC Fitness Club

Certain personal attributes such as optimism and emotional vitality can manage or help people avoid diseases such as depression and heart disease. Find out strategies to help you think positively, bring happiness into your life and be healthier!

June 5: Wellness through Gardening

Noon to 1:00 p.m. at The York

Wellness comes in a variety of forms. One way to rejuvenate is through gardening – either in a yard or utilizing a balcony – planting and caring for flowers can be uplifting.

Learn about how to create a beautiful garden while using native species to Southern Ontario. The session will be led by Urban Gardener and participants will have the chance to take a plant of their choice home. Space is limited. Registration to open soon.

September: Success in the Kitchen: Getting a Food Grip

This informative Lunch n’ Learn will demonstrate easy, go-to recipes, provide stress-free cooking tips, and inspire you to feel like a rock star in the kitchen! As a bonus you’ll receive recommendations on the best food court choices. Stay tuned for more information.

October 10: World Mental Health Day

Join us for a full-day of activities that include yoga and mediation sessions. Stay tuned for more information.

November: How Sweet It Is!

Join us for a one-hour presentation and cooking demonstration that will showcase honey’s culinary and health supportive abilities, resulting in simple and delicious recipes that can fit into anyone’s wholesome eating plan. Stay tuned for more information.
